Low income pandemic payment

Low Income Pandemic payment is a one-off payment to help with increased costs and lost income due to coronavirus.

How much can I get? 

You can get a one-off payment of £130. 

Who can get it? 

You can get the payment if you received Council Tax Reduction in April 2021, you don't pay Council Tax because you're in temporary accommodation or you're exempt from Council Tax for one of the following reasons: 

  • your home is unoccupied because you're being cared for or are caring for someone else
  • all members of your household are care leavers
  • all members of your household are under 18 
  • all members of your household are severely mentally impaired. 

When will I receive my payment? 

If you've submitted your details and correct evidence by Tuesday 19 October, you'll receive your payment directly to your bank account by the end of October. 

I can't submit my details online or I need help? 

If you're having difficulty completing the online form, accessing the internet or need help uploading your bank statement you can contact our Money Advice and Rights Team (MART) on 0141 577 8420 for help over the phone. When calling you will be given the option to leave a message, please leave your name and contact number and a member of our team will be in touch within 2 working days.
