What's the Young Person's Guarantee?
The Young Person's Guarantee is an opportunity of a job, placement, training or volunteering for every 16 to 24 year old in Scotland based on your own goals and ambitions.
For young people

Working closely with teams across the council, local businesses and other employability partners, we've an opportunity to make a difference to the life of a young person and to fulfil our corporate parenting responsibilities by:
- building confidence
- growing their skills
- helping them get on the first rung of the career ladder
- enhancing their experience
- offering a long term support network for training and work
- providing a range of opportunities including taster days, work experience, training, pre-employment support, access to employment, as well as traineeships, modern apprenticeships and support moving into further education

The programmes provide a range of individual, small group approaches, to help develop the skills, confidence, awareness and understanding to reach a positive destination in the young person's employment journey.
How to get involved?

The work of our partnership ensures a range of training opportunities exist to help develop the skills, confidence, awareness and understanding needed to help individuals to get into work and to progress in-work, through the development of their job skills.

We give a wide range of employment opportunities for young people and several different pathways into employment.
