Pest control

As our country starts moving through Scotland's route map out of the Covid-19 crisis, the pest control industry is able to offer more services to domestic premises. We can now offer the majority of our pest control services to our customers, prior to a necessary Covid-19 risk assessment. Please phone 0141 577 3001 where a member of Customer Services will help you.

Don't be offended if our admin or pest control staff ask relevant Covid-19 questions prior to gaining access to your premises.

Our pest control contractor continues to help by treating mice/rat infestations affecting the inside of properties and will also treat heavily impacted garden areas, or a wider area infestation affecting a large number of neighbouring gardens.

We recommend that if residents do have concerns about isolated incidences or sightings affecting their garden area then it may be advisable to consider the option to self-treat the problem using products available in hardware stores.

Garden fires

Given the changes to our garden waste uplifts and temporary restrictions on public use of the Civic Amenity sites please avoid burning your garden waste until further notice.

The smoke from a bonfire can affect respiratory functions so we ask you to be considerate to vulnerable groups and those in the community with underlying respiratory issues who may be more susceptible to Covid-19. You'll also put less demand on our vital emergency services if your bonfire gets out of control.

If you wish to continue to recycle your garden waste use a compost bin or visit the Zero Waste Scotland website for tips on making and using your own compost.
